Make sure that your device is unlocked before you depart for your trip. Please note: Being on a post-paid plan or contract with your local carrier doesn't mean your phone is locked. If you are unsure, please check with your current service provider.
To activate, simply insert the sim into your device and turn your device ON. The sim will automatically connect to a network which will commence your 31 days of service. This sim card is a Data-ONLY sim hence it doesn't come with a phone number. The sim card does not allow you to make direct calls or send direct SMS. However, you are still able to make calls and send messages via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc. However, you are also able to add credit to your Viber or Skype account, which will allow you to make local and international phone calls directly to landlines and mobiles.

This Argentina sim card was somewhat tricky to use. It would work 80% of the time with no problem. However, the network would often cut out and ask me to sign-in to the network again. This would never work after many attempts and so I would have to simply wait until the network revived itself. This became a constant problem in situations when I required internet, leaving me stranded in several places sometimes for a few minutes and other times several hours. I was informed that the speed would be 4G, but the internet speed was quite average and was certainly no better than a 3G speed. That being said, when it worked it was great and served its purpose. I had coverage in both Buenos Aires and Puerto Iguazu which was great, but the intermittency occurred in both areas. I'm not sure why this sim card has much less data and duration than others on the website for the same price. I believe SimCorner need to review their network partner to ensure that future users are not disadvantaged or stranded as I was during my stay in Argentina.
